Hello, Dalmatian fans! This news goes to all the 101DS fans who are livin' up in the United Kingdom!
We're certain many of you have remember back in 2020 when Disney Channel UK shut down during the migration of all Disney media to DisneyPlus since it had first launched. It's been 5 years now, so if you're curious about its fate, we have some exciting news to share.
Disney Channel UK is coming BACK to your television on October 3rd. After 5 years, it is OFFICIALLY back!
That's according to the news shared by an fan-Disney source, Disney Television Animation News on Tumblr! You can see for yourself!
For anyone who's been following news from the folks who run the Disney company, it was only a matter of time for them. Disney Company CEO Bob Iger mentioned a while back that about Disney Channel being an important centerpiece of their TV broadcasting as it always has been. Iger himself talked about back in June earlier this year.
“Disney Channel is connected seamlessly with Disney Plus. FX and ABC have fed Hulu programming very effectively. And now when you think about all four, and we also have Nat Geo, which does the same with Disney Plus, when you think about those five networks and how they’re programmed across linear and streaming, you’ve got a business that actually provides us an opportunity to not only grow, but to grow margins in the process as well. So, again, we like the direction we’re going.” — Iger
This is EXCITING news for fans who have yearned the days when they watched 101 Dalmatian Street on that very channel in UK, so to anyone who reads this, we're certain they'll be very happy to hear this information.
