Disney's Plans for DisneyPlus/Hulu Merger + Keep Calm and Spot On

UPDATE (5/18/23):

We have the latest development regarding the content removal from Disney's streaming services. It looks like 101 Dalmatian Street won't be affected by this move. In fact, any animated media from Walt Disney Animation Studios, DTA, Disney Televison Europe or Fox Animation will not be affected by Disney's latest strategy. The only animated content that will be given the chopping block (Sadly) are "Little Demon" the adult-sitcom animated series, and the puppeted TV-series "Earth to Ned". There is no denying that Disney's decision to pull Earth to Ned off their streaming services is such a harsh move, especially for the creators and producers who had worked on this original animated series.

For their latest strategy, Disney CEO Bob Iger has stated that their move is not a tax write-off like what Warner Bros. Discovery did with HBOmax by purging many animated shows produced at Cartoon Network & WB Animation during their merge of two companies, according to the sources. This latest info should help put everyone's concerns about the possibility of 101 Dalmatian Street of being removed from Disney+ to rest. Though, it never hurts to be prepared for anything that happens to the show moving forward, so it's always important to preserve every 101DS content that Disney had made alongside Atomic Cartoons, Gigglebug, Passion Animation and of course all the amazing people had worked on it and keep the legacy alive for the creators, the fans, and of course for you. We'd like to give a big shout-out to @DisneyTVANews for the info. Keep Calm and Spot On, Dalmatian fans!

ORIGINAL:

Hello, Dalmatian fans! We have some... interesting news in regard to Disney's change of direction of how they manage their content on their streaming services. According to their recent financial report, the three streaming services, DisneyPlus, Hulu and +ESPN have lost a few million subscribers during the first quarter of 2023. Disney now intends to drop their original strategy in producing lots of animated/live-action content and reducing them to a degree. They are also planning on merging two of their services, Disney+ and Hulu into one big streaming services (Though of course they'll remain separate).

This also means that Disney will be removing certain content from the streaming services in order to accomplish their new marketing strategy.

Now, before the 101DS fandom begins panicking on what this will mean for 101 Dalmatian Street, please settle down and hear us out. As of right now, it is doubtful that the show will be on the chopping block when it comes to what content will be removed. From the sources the staff has read, it is more likely that 3rd party content that Disney does not own will be removed from the streaming services, especially ones from Hulu. So, do not jump to any conclusions or speculation on the possibility of being removed.

However, please note that we should NOT be cautious on what happens in the future. That's why we implore everyone to be prepared for whatever happens with the show going forward: Notify the staff members behind the show about Disney's new strategy, write a letter to the folks at Disney about making 101 Dalmatian Street more available outside Disney+, Preserve all official content of 101DS on YouTube (Animated shorts, episodes, dubs, promos, commercials) continue making 101DS fan-content to attract more people and grow your social accounts.

The Daily Puppy is the number one source to all 101DS fan-content, and we the staff will continue to fill it to the brim with fan-content that you faithful, talented fans make.
