We are proud to showcase Set 1 of the 101 Dalmatian Street Gmod models: Dylan, Dolly, Da Vinci, Delilah and Doug! These models were created by two, talented people SpideyGTA and CoolbeansLollol! They come as both ragdolls and NPC's, with some alternate skins to go with it. We gave the models a try for ourselves, and let us tell you, these are possibly the most accurate models to be publicly available to the 101DS community thus far! As we've tried the models out, we have written an honest review for each of them.

REVIEW:

Starting with the package, let us just say that these models have more than just representation. There are a variety of skins for most of the character models, specifically that for Dylan, Dolly, and Da Vinci. They're easily customizable if you have the bodygroup tool addon, and provides us creative variety when making photos like these. 

The quality for each model is almost comparable to that of the famous My Little Pony character GMOD models that have been made around the time the show aired back in 2010, and despite the 101DS models not being 100% accurate to the show's material, they got the spots on the models just right, and they're fun to mess around with, without a doubt!

Though, that's not to say that there aren't any flaws and limits we had to deal with when it comes to posing the ragdolls of the Dalmatian characters. One thing is that Dolly is the only character that have controllable ears, while the rest of the familys' dog ears are stiff and have zero control. 

We would like at least some more freedom in changing positions of the ears with the face pose tool. The second problem we have is that the bodies tend to twist and spaz out at times when we try to put them in a unique pose with the limited bone structure they have, and the fact that their tails aren't part of the bone rigs doesn't really help much when making more fluid poses. I hope SpideyGTA and Coolbeanslollol take these flaws to account as they plan to produce more models of other 101DS characters.

Despite these flaws however, that didn't stop us from enjoying playing around with these fun ragdolls, and even if they're a bit challenging to use, they do bring hilarious results for us. We want to give SpideyGTA and Coolbeanslollol a round of applause for their efforts in crafting these 101 Dalmatian Character models with their own two paws, and we want to tell them that we're absolutely looking forward to seeing more from them, while addressing some of the flaws, as they continue their work in satisfying the creative side of the 101DS community! We give these models a 7 out of 10!

HOW TO DOWNLOAD:

Of course, we'll give a simple tutorial for those who want to get their paws on these models, but don't know how to do so.

1. Simply download the models in one whole pack. Each of the 5 character models are also available separately. Once you've download it, it'll come in a form of a ZIP file!

2. Right click on the selected folder, and then go to "Extract All". A window will pop up, providing you an option on which folder transfer the extracted models to. For Garry's Mod in this case, go to the folder "addons" through this sequence: 

Program Files (x86) > Steam > Steamapps > common > Garrysmod > garrysmod > addons 

Once you found the folder you're looking for, click "Extract", and the models will be dumped to that folder

3. Once the models have extracted to the right folder, start-up Garry's Mod! (Close the software first if it's still running) Start a new game on the map, access the addons menu , and all the five models should be there for you to play around with, both as a ragdoll and a NPC!

4. If you still can't access the ragdolls, there's one solution that we recommend using. There is an addon in Gmod workshop called (Extended Spawnmenu) where you can be able to access models that have been taken down on Steam, but still have the download data through the addons folder! Just subscribe to the addon, and an extra spawnlist called "Legacy addons" will pop up in the spawnlist menu!
